Cool Off in our farm dams or in the river

Swimming at Enjo Nature Farm offers a variety of refreshing options, from our spring-fed reservoir to a chlorinated swimming pool and seasonal river pools.

Our large spring-fed farm reservoir is a quiet spot for swimming and relaxation with stunning views of the Paardeberg mountains. Fed by mountain spring water, this natural swimming spot offers a refreshing experience surrounded by the farm’s natural beauty. The reservoir is particularly inviting during hot summer days when temperatures in the Biedouw Valley can soar. The reservoir’s edges are perfect for sitting and soaking in the tranquil surroundings.

We’ve recently renovated an old farm dam into a chlorinated swimming pool that provides a more traditional swimming experience while still enjoying the natural setting. This pool is ideal for families and those who prefer swimming in treated water. The area around the pool is perfect for lounging and enjoying the panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.

During the winter and spring months (August to October), the Biedouw River comes alive with crystal-clear natural pools perfect for swimming. These seasonal pools form in the river bed and offer a delightful wild swimming experience. The water is typically at its best during early summer when it’s clear and refreshing. The river pools are subject to seasonal conditions and may not be available during drier periods.

Please note that all swimming at Enjo Nature Farm is unsupervised, and guests swim at their own risk. Please ensure that children are supervised at all times.
